Text Box: Challenging Yourself and Others:
The “TRUTH Project” from Focus on the Family is designed for Christian adults, young and old, who are wondering about the foundations for their faith. Sometimes, the leaders of CSB, of the church, and we ourselves, need to be reminded of just who—just how ALMIGHTY—God is.

You can get involved in helping to firm up someone’s resolve by examining these truths of God in a home Bible study. You can invite others. You can invite the families of the boys in your group. You can run it in conjunction with your CSB program night—CSB for you and the boys, then something good for their families. Consider the possibilities...

Text Box: Challenging Teens:
Focus on the Family has taken the information found in their “TRUTH Project” and designed it for older teens and young adults. These people are the future of our church and they need to be well founded on the Truth of God’s Word. The course is called “True U” and is a multimedia presentation with Dr Stephen Meyer.

In CSB, we challenge guys with stuff that is within their grasp but just outside of their reach. This causes them to grow.

Check out True U — it’s expensive, but well worth it — and see what it can do to solidify the faith of your Brigadiers.

Where’s the Money?

Many ministries suffer from the lack of funds and yet many CSB leaders are giving thousands of dollars to their church annually. As the Bible says, “where your treasure (money) is, there will your heart be also” (Matthew 6:19-24). If your CSB ministry is important to you, then designate a small portion of your offering towards that ministry. Ensure that the church will “allow” this, but as a supporter of your church, you should expect to support every effort of the church. CSB is part of that effort, and $2 or $5 set aside each time you and your fellow leaders make an offering will put hundreds of dollars into God’s ministry to boys. You have the right to decide, and the responsible for what your church does with your offering. It’s called good stewardship.

Put your money where your heart is.

Have your money serve God’s Calling. It’s Biblical!

Text Box: Canoes, Paddles and Life Jackets
The CSB Unit at Calvary Baptist Church in Coquitlam has generously offered to “lend” their trailer of six canoes and the associated gear—paddles, life jackets, bailers, rescue lines, whistles, and canoe cart—to any CSB church for their purposes. Insurance will be the responsibility of the user. Good stewardship is expected.

Contact Howard Pike (the BC CSB Rep) for more information.
Text Box: Brigade Camp BC HQ Trailer
CSB BC has acquired quite a bit of equipment that is available to CSB churches for their careful use. The HQ Trailer has multiple uses. It comes with a flat, hinged roof, two doors, two attached side-drop tables, four portable tables, leveling jack-stands, and wash-up mirrors. The trailer is about 5 feet wide by 9.5 feet long. The doors and roof have locks. It is perfect as a camp kitchen or HQ/Tuck Shop. It carries all of CSB BC’s camp gear and a BBQ (shelving doubles as ramp).

Director for more information.

Text Box: Paintball Equipment
Pump-action Paintball Markers are available for the use of BC CSB churches. The “guns” require two 12 gm CO2 cylinders, as well as regulation size paintballs. The pump-action style limits the volume of paintballs consumed during a game (at 5 to 10 cents a ball, this is important). There are 17 guns in good working order available, as well as 17 full face masks. Containers for the equipment and other gear, including a first aid kit, are included.

Note: These guns are fairly accurate and have good power. The paintball will hit you and it will hurt.
