OUR MISSION:  building godly men of today and tomorrow

Text Box: CSB in Africa?
Harold Browne Joins CSB Team Traveling to Zambia

This August (2010), CSB will send a small contingent of men to Zambia to train area pastors in establishing a ministry to the boys and young men in their communities.
Former CSB US President Don Paterson traveled to Zambia last May with our long-serving Regional Director from New Jersey, Ron Rynd. They met several pastors and church leaders who expressed interest in getting a CSB ministry started in their church. Since then, the interest has grown even more and we are expecting 17 pastors at our 3-day Building Godly Men of Today and Tomorrow training session.
Our efforts in Zambia came at the encouragement of Jan Boone, Executive Director of GEMS Girls Clubs (the ministry we partner with in providing programming for girls). God has done wonderful things through GEMS' ministry there. Jan recently wrote to us, "There is so much that is good that is happening in Zambia. I'm so encouraged by it all. (This spring) we started 25 new clubs and trained over 300 women...numerous pastors thanked us profusely and talked about the life-change they can actually observe in the girls and in the women who are counsellors. They proceeded to ask, nearly beg for a program for boys and men. They so need and want that."
Harold Browne, our former Canadian President and current Office Manager and Regional Director in Ottawa, will be part of this special mission to Zambia. You'll be hearing from us again with ways you and your unit can be part of CSB's ministry there, but in the meantime please be in prayer for our team and the impact God can bring through their efforts.
