Workshop Synopsis
So, you're travelling in the wildness, miles from everywhere, when you come across a magnificent hotel. The owner is smiling ear to ear. "I just finished it," he says. "Take a look at my hammer. It's a great hammer. It gave me a little trouble, but..." Really??? Really? He would never say that. He'd say, "Come inside and take a look at what we built for you." Somehow, people have the idea that a digital ministry is all about the tools: Zoom, Discord, GoBrunch, or whatever. The tools are nothing. If you can imagine doing something over the internet, someone has already thought of it, and is doing it. The tools are out there, so what magnificent mansion do you want to build as an internet-based ministry? As COVID began, CSB had a nice little ministry building boys and men in local churches across North America. Everything was done face-to-face. Resources were sold to churches and groups. But with COVID that stopped. CSB quickly recognized that for CSB to remain relevant, we had to transition to an online ministry that built boys and men in their homes over the internet. It's a lesson that every ministry needs to learn - to remain relevant, we must serve people where they are at. This workshop looks at doing ministry online, remotely. We will discuss the how-to's in terms of the concepts of doing ministry using digital tools like Zoom. We will look at goals in taking the ministry to another level of serving people in Christ's Name. We will remember to focus on the person and not the audience. This will be fun. |

Howard works for CSB Canada. He grew to manhood in Brigade and had some excellent men speaking into his life. He has some God-given talents and a pile of God-guided opportunities that continue to expand. He served on the CSB Stockade reVISION Team, wrote some Modules, edited many of the other ones, is helping to update the new Battalion Missions. He stays busy in the BC and Alberta Regions. Recently, he currently serving as the President of CSB Canada.
