Keynote Speaker: Dr Jim Cunningham
Dr Jim is a man of many talents: teacher, trainer, outdoorsman, author, and encourager. Since 2019, he and his life-long friend, Paul Estabrooks, and have been producing a short weekly radio program based on Scripture and Jim's book Men Alive - Conforming to the Image of Christ. Men Alive radio programs are broadcast each Sunday over ten radio stations from coast to coast in Canada, as well as in the United States and in South Africa. Dr Jim is Canada's radio broadcaster to men. He's worth hearing.
Dr. Jim has co-authored numerous books and helped compile Standing Strong Through The Storm (SSTS) for Open Doors International (ODI) with Paul Estabrooks. Now in its third edition, this book shares the living testimonies of Christians in regions of the world defined as the "Persecuted Church". Jim received his Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Adult Education from the University of Toronto in 1981. In 1982 “Dr. Jim” joined the faculty of Trinity Western University www.twu.ca a private Christian university – in Langley, British Columbia where he taught until 2002. He has served as a consultant in Adult Education with a variety of NGO’s. He has served as a faculty member of Wycliffe Bible Translators Canada at the Canada Institute of Linguistics (CanIL) http://canil.ca/ on the campus of TWU. He is currently the Executive-Director of Go Teach Global Society https://goteachglobal.com – a not-for-profit society to “train trainers, teach teachers and disciple adult educators” across the globe. His travels continue to take him to diverse regions around the world. Jim and his wife, Rita, make their home in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. They have two adult sons and two gracious daughters-in-law, who are mothers of their five grandchildren. Jim’s life verse is 2 Corinthians 3:5-6 “It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his new covenant…under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life.” (NLT). Email: [email protected]
