Ministry to Men & Through Men BEGINS WITH THE LOCAL CHURCH
We are told to be part of a church - a local Body of Believers. Hebrew 10:25 clearly says, "Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near." (TLB). Men don't get to avoid going to church. They have the responsibility to set the example.
It's reported that... "When a dad or husband is the first to attend a church, 93% of the time his whole family will follow him."* If we want to build the Church, it is our best use of our resources to focus on the man, because when he commits to his church, his family will follow him to the foot of the Saviour's Cross.

This is why men's ministry - a men's group - in the local church is so important.
This is why our purpose is to build the local church through a one-day men's equipping conference.

Once a year, ISI provides a great men's conference...
And, for the rest of the year, ISI helps the local church build its men. This is why the local church is so important. The church and its pastor can speak into the life of a man once, twice or three times in a week. They can significantly build that man to stand strong for Jesus Christ. And, a man built in Christ, can significantly build his family, and his family can significantly affect their community. And when ISI finds a man who is not connected to a church, ISI intentionally directs him back to HIS local church, because it will build him up in Christ, to his own great benefit and to the benefit of his family, church and community. |

The Network of Men's Ministries
Every church has a ministry to men. In some churches, it's a well-oiled machine that is geared to involve every man of every generation at least once a month. In others, it's a group of guys who just say "Hi" to each other every Sunday in the church foyer. But for most churches, men's ministry is a breakfast where men can enjoy each others company.
