Men winning and training boys and young men for Christ. It's been that simple since 1937, when an 18 year old college freshman started a mid-week club for his Sunday School boys' class. His purpose was to give the boys a place to apply what they had learned on Sunday. This has been a part of CSB ever since.
This ain't Sunday School! Admittedly, this doesn't have the appeal that a pastor or church board may want, but Brigade sure attracts the guys. And, that attraction is a big factor in getting good men involved in their church, too. Every boy wants to be a MAN! The person most qualified to show a boy what it means to be a man is a man. So, what is manhood? A man must show this to a boy. What does a man love to do? A man must share this with a boy and do it in a Christ-centred context. |
