Taking It Beyond the Mission
ONE-HANDED BOWLINE
There are plenty of knots worth knowing. One of the best is the One-Handed Bowline. Teach it to yourself and to your Battalion. Knowing how to tie it by instinct saved a young man's life as he stood in a glacier-fed river holding onto a tree root after being flipped from a canoe while shooting rapids. |
MODIFIED TRUCKERS HITCH
This knot is used for securely tying down loads, but this variation makes it especially useful for constructing shelters around camp. |
