Prayer Requests 2021:
Some CSB Overall Ministry Requests:
- Please pray for the boys and young men of Christian Service Brigade as they form life-changing friendships with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Pray that the boys and young men will love Him with all their hearts, minds, souls and spirits; that they will grow into men of honour, courage, courtesy, purity, loyalty, obedience, and dedication.
- Pray the men will be equally dedicated to Christ, and will be inspired with ways to touch the hearts of boys and their parents.
- Pray that doors will be opened in families and in the community as local Christian Service Brigade group take the Gospel home from the weekly meetings.
- Please faithfully pray for a dear couple, much beloved in the CSB family, as they continue to grieve and mourn the sudden passing of one of their sons.
- Pray for our efforts in "Winning and Training Boys and Young Men for Christ" as we encourage men and CSB leaders to be effective in their churches and ministries, families and communities to be mighty Men of God and worthy Christ-followers.
- Pray for the expansion of CSB to more churches in Canada. Pray that this ministry will continue to raise up multiple generations of Christ-following boys and young men is a partnership between churches, their men and Christian Service Brigade. We are particularly focused on Alberta where we have had a number of solid inquiries from parents and churches about a ministry to their boys.
- Pray for the men in local churches to step into their roles as providers and protectors, and as prayer warriors for the people in their communities.
- Pray for Open Doors and Ideas as Brigade develops new ways to connect with churches with our ministry programs and discipleship materials.
- Pray that CSB Canada would be able to establish a network of contacts with former leaders, Pastors, boys and young men, especially Heralds of Christ, and get them involved as Ambassadors for CSB as part of the revitalization of this ministry across Canada.
- Pray that God will stir up church leadership to provide men in their churches opportunities to disciple and mentor boys to manhood through action-packed, geared-to-boys ministry programs.
- Pray that CSB in local churches will continue to Win and Train Boys and Young Men for Christ, and that together we are Building Godly Men of Today and Tomorrow.
- Praise the Lord for each one of our Donors who have supported us so faithfully over the years, especially our monthly pre-authorized donors, many of whom have supported the ministry financially for decades.
- Pray for safety as our Brigade leaders, boys and families continue to cope with the restrictions being applied to all of us during these days of Covid 19 that have virtually eliminated many of our CSB activities.
- Pray that there will be a resurgence of effort to reach out to the boys (and girls) in church communities. Church are to be taking the Gospel to their neighbours.
- Pray for...
- Please pray for clarity regarding camp ministries across Canada. They are waiting for the provinces to let them know if they can open, and if so, what will be the restrictions. Praise the Lord for His continued provision of the financial resources to weather the COVID storm,
- Pray for Keith and Shawn who ran Camp Cherith for many years. CSB in Ontario used this camp for our Adventure Week for a number of years. Pray for Shawn as she is undergoing treatment for Cancer. Pray that the drugs will go well without severe side effects.
- Pray for Camp Teepee Pole, CSB's partner ministry in the foothills just west of Sundre Alberta. Pray that boys and young men will be impacted by the Camp's summer camps: Father and Son Team Day; Tree Climbers Weekend; Leadership Trails Week; Adventure Trails Week; and Stockade Week.
- Pray that Camp Teepee Pole's ONLINE Fundraiser will catch the attention of its supporters. Pray that the Lord will open the Camp for ministry this summer.
- Pray for a real revitalization in Ontario churches to see the benefits of a ministry to build Strong Boys and Young men for Christ under Godly men of the local Church.
- Pray for Pastors to see the need for a ministry to Boys and Young Men being led by Godly Men
- Pray for one of our Heralds of Christ and faithful supporter who will be moving this week from his family home since he was a child to another city. It is a very traumatic experience.
- Pray for the ministry of Iron Sharpens Iron and the CSB Men's Network in BC and Alberta. Building men to serve the church has been very difficult during COVID.
- Pray for the families of former CSB leaders, staff and supporters who have gone to be with their Lord over the last year including: Bob Coates, Cyril Lentz , Dave Wilson, Rev H H Barber, Ray Brunner, Christopher Browne, Tom Peake plus others.
- Pray that the BC Regional CSB Team will be wise as they we push ahead with their Tough Guys Father & Son Campout. The courts just affirmed the BC government's right to set aside the freedom of religion and to keep BC churches closed to indoor meetings. Fear is rampant, even in the Church. Pray that Christians will be respectful, obedient, but pushing the envelope of what is allowed.
- Pray for God’s hand of protection on those Stockades that are still meeting in a few locations.
- Pray our ongoing ability to make known the great and creative ideas we've been able to develop over the past year. Pray for God's help in this ability.
- Pray for all the churches in Canada who had Brigade units in operation before Covid would restart their ministries as soon as possible.
- Pray for reigniting passion for ministry to boys on the individual and local church level. That these efforts would be based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Pray for several Christian brothers battling prostate cancer and bone cancer.
- Pray for a Christian sister battling cancerous tumours in her abdomen. Pray that her 12 weeks of chemo treatments have shrunk the tumours well enough to be removed surgically with ease.
- Pray for healing of several local leaders who are facing major health issues that is limiting their involvement in ministering to the boys and young men in their churches.
- Pray for...
